1. Zero-Account Philosophy
At AscendLabs, privacy is engineered into our architecture by design. We do not require account registration, passwords, phone numbers, or user profile creation. Users visit the platform anonymously, upload a document, complete payment, and download their refined file.
2. Data We Process
A. Uploaded Documents:
When you submit a DOCX document, the file is temporarily transferred to our private encrypted object storage (Cloudflare R2) solely for asynchronous execution by our dedicated processing worker.
B. Payment & Email Metadata:
Financial transactions are processed exclusively through our payment aggregator (Razorpay). We never see, receive, or store credit card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs. If you enter an email during Razorpay checkout, Razorpay issues your official receipt and our database associates the email with your order strictly for customer support inquiries and refund resolution.
3. Strict Data Retention & Automatic Deletion
Our Retention Rules:
- Original Uploaded Documents: Automatically deleted from our storage systems immediately upon successful humanization.
- Refined Result Documents: Retained in private object storage temporarily for up to 24 hours to ensure you can download your document even if your internet connection disconnects, after which they are purged.
- No Model Training: Your documents are never used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine learning algorithms.
4. Third-Party Infrastructure & Subprocessors
To deliver secure, reliable high-performance processing, we work with industry-standard enterprise cloud providers:
- Payment Processing: Secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway (Razorpay) for transaction management.
- Cloud Storage: Encrypted object storage with short-lived, authenticated download links.
- Compute Infrastructure: Dedicated, isolated compute environments executing ephemeral document processing.
- Database Services: Secure transactional data storage managing order verification and state transitions.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
The Service uses browser localStorage strictly for active session resumption (allowing you to refresh the page during document processing without losing your active job ID or download button). We do not use tracking cookies or sell your browsing history to third-party advertisers.
